Car Alarms: dei car remote starter wont start car, designtech, start car

Question
i hold down the 2 buttons and my lights flash on the car but it doesnt start the car. my other remote lights up but doesnt make the lights come on. i wondered if its on some kinda delay or something or if i have to do something after i change its batteries to reset them thanks adam
