Car Alarms: Truck Alarm Going off in the night:, night question, knock sensor

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2001 Silverado, and the alarm goes off by it's self at least once a week real late at night or early morning. When I set the alarm at night the lights flash and the horn honks once. Please help cause I'm tired of getting up to turn the thing off.It never goes off during the day.

         Thanks In Advance,
         Joel

ANSWER: Might have a sensor going bad or set too high,
or that is temp sensitive.

If after market, the knock sensor may be getting triggered
from a common event at that time of the day, hard to
tell just what from where I sit.

Have it inspected by a local alarm tech and don't guess
anymore. Must be annoying!

Good luck.
