Car Alarms: keyless lock/unlock programming, valet mode, subaru outback

Question
So i got a new keyless lock/unlock for my subaru outback. I had a previous one that i lost. The alarm was going off when i first lost the keys so i unhooked the battery. NOw that i have the new lock/unlocker, i plugged in the battery and the alarm wont stop going off and i can proceed with the first stop of the installation. Also it says i need to hold down the disarm button and it doesnt show me where that button is on the directions or in the owners manual. please someone help me with both questions im in desperate need of help my car has been sitting in below 0 weather for a week now.

Answer
Ok, an installer would place it in a semi
hidden area. I'd look under the dash area
for a button or, a toggle switch. When you locate it,
turn on the ignition key, press and hold in the
button (little spring loaded micro button, red or
black possibly), until the alarm chirps 1 time.
This should over ride the system, and only the
keyless entry part, if installed, would still be
operating.

The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. Once in Valet mode,
it will allow the car to start and operate
like there was no alarm at all.

You should be able to do your programming
at that point.

Good luck.
