Car Alarms: 2002 Ford Focus ZTS Factory Dealer Remote Keyless Entry Alarm Configuration, remote keyless entry, siren sounds

Question
Been 'googling' for many weeks reading everything remotely related to Ford Facotry Alarms/Dealer Installed Alarms/Remote Keyless Entry/Fobs/This That and everything in between; still without a solution to my problem which leaves me keeping my vehicle unlocked wherever I go.
I had once previously removed my negative bat cable to do minor repair work and upon reattaching it the alarm sounded.  I then immediately disconnected it again and only reconnected after opening my driver door and turning the key to the 'run/on' position. This time there were no sounds and I thought I was good to go. I now can lock and unlock the doors via the remote with 1 chirp to signal unlocking and 2 chirps; 1 at moment of locking and one a hesitant second later (delayed? - all doors are fully closed and all lights are off, btw.) Upon using the keyless fob to unlock the doors I get the one chirp and the driver door unlocking actualor actuating... two presses of unlock unlocks the remaining doors (off the subject: the trick of pressing both the lock/unlock buttons with the car disarmed toggles the 2 press method of unlocking all the doors to a one press method.) So I open the now unlocked disarmed driverside door and the alarm siren sounds and horn honks ensue until I put the key into the ignition and press the "valet button" under the dash.  My valet button has 2 buttons: one apparently visible with the red LED and one hidden up and behind it 2 inches. I press the hidden one to disarm the siren.  If I do not lock/arm my vehicle and simply leave it unlocked I still must press the hidden valet button every time since the ignition is 'killed' by default. Anoying since I was once charged $100 for towing fees from a hotel valet service who couldn't pass on that the real valet switch is out of sight to the later shift who needed to move my car from where I left it. Before removing the battery I had managed to somehow get the car to not chirp during unlocking, chirp once during locking, but it would chirp once right as I would engage the ignition. I did the trick of unlocking the car with the driver door open, on the keyless remote pressing lock, unlock, lock. That did something... i think... I also tried putting key in and turning to 'run/on' and pressing and holding the valet switch (I think I actually pressed the LED button part) for 5 seconds - and the light just went off. As you can see i have researched this as much as I can stand and have tried to cover every detail to make your job easier. The remote alarm system was installed by the dealer when I purcased the car new from ford.  the remote fob is branded by the ford motor company and the alphanumeric code listed on the reverse:2S4T-15K601-AA
Thanks for what you can do.
