Car Alarms: 1995 Acura Ledgend Alarm, acura ledgend, acura service

Question
QUESTION: We have a 1995 (4) door Legend.  All original with factory Bose/ alarm/ keyless entry.  Has performed without a hitch until as of late.  By late I mean late at night or sometimes at noon, the alarm will go off unprovoked.  We have never had this happen so the only way we know to shut it off is to pull the battery cable.  (Re-code the radio) afterwards.  This has to stop.  Got any ideas?  The only factor I can add is the temperature has been colder than normal.  mid to lower twentys.

Thanks,

Neil

ANSWER: I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: Robert,
It is a factory system.  The code I referred to putting in the radio is located on a sticker under the ash tray, also in the owners manual. (I acquired this bit of info. from a very nice Acura service manager, no charge).  I had pulled the battery cable during some maint. work and the the radio starts blinking,"ENTER CODE"  What the Heck?

Answer
Ah, sorry I do apologize,
but my expertise is in after
market vehicle alarm systems.

If yours is indeed a factory system,
I suggest talking to one of the
techs in my Forum about this one.
