Car Alarms: AutoMate AM1, support inquiry, responce

Hi, I have an AutoMate AM1 car alarm in my car.  Some how it stopped chirping when I ether arm or disarm it.  I belive there is a way to set/program it so that i will chirp or not chirp, but I don't know how to do it.  Please help!!
