Car Alarms: 2004 mercedes clk 500 chirps, resident technicians, chirps

car chirps when the car is off or on.  it has the factory alarm. any way to turn it off? I called the dealer n said its the battery that's going low. but I don't know if its true or not. have to wait 6 days before I take it to the dealer.

I unfortunately don't know the
system you are working with to advise
you properly on it's functions,
features or trouble shooting
information. Better to check with a tech
that might.
