Car Alarms: Jeep cherokee factory alarm/immobaliser, jeep grand cherokee laredo, jeep grand cherokee

Question
QUESTION: Hi,
Im really hopeing you are able to help me with my problem.
It seems to be an intermittent problem.
My factory alarm/immobaliser will not disarm. i have replaced the batteries in the remotes. only one remote has ever worked since i got the vehicle.
Yesterday it worked fine. thisa morning when i went to go to work the immobaliser would not disarm. i replaced the remote batteries, and still had no luck.
Are you able to advise me on what i can do about this??
Is there a way i can disconnect the immobaliser??
last time this happened it just started working again after sitting for two days.
I have a 1996 jeep grand cherokee laredo.

Please help!

ANSWER: There is a way.
You make the ignition code reader think the smart
key is in the ignition at all times.
This keeps the system from arming.

To make it happen, print the following
and give it to your technician:

Go get 2 non transponder keys cut at
the hardware store for 3 bucks each.
Get a universal bypass module (key-in-a-box style)
at www.REMOTESTARTCENTRAL.com for 25.00.

Then wrap the coil around the key cylinder,
secured in place with hot-glue. Connect the
status input wire to chassis ground and the
positive to ignition...no more transponder
key required. No Smart Key security issues.

The total cost on this is
substantially less than what a dealership
would charge to replace and reprogram keys
all the time.

I hope this helps.

Answer
What we do here is to bypass factory system
when doing remote start or using an
after market system with a factory alarm
and they conflict.

You have what we would do to disarm it.
The purple/yellow wire is
also located in the same 14 pin black connector
as the separate door trigger wires. At the BCM located between the steering column and the drivers kick panel.
The plug is located in the drivers side front corner
of BCM just behind the knee bolster.
Once Located, splice into this wire
with a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

See if this jives with your wires.

Unfortunately however, I am limited here as to
how much I can/will offer as "free service".

So, please continue to try to find the disarm
wire and follow the direction I supplied.

This is the last
followup I can do on this site for your problem
so I hope this helps.

Good luck.

A.
