Car Alarms: Galaxy 5000RS-2W, weekday business hours, galaxy 5000rs

Question
I bought two systems from you. One in Dec, the other last month for my Expedition. The Tilt sensor I purchased does not work, I had this problem with the motion sensor in my civic on the first one. Shock sensor works fine, no LED on tilt sens. it is isolated with diodes. Next, I wanted to use one remote for two cars, I believe I mentioned that, but the new alarm came with two different transmitters. The ones I had for my civic have the remote start on button two. There is one of those in the new alarm and one with unlock for button two. Not a big deal because I have two old transmitters, but the new alarm won't accept the old transmitter, it only wants the one with the unlock on button two. Is there something I can do to use the same two transmitters for two cars? I assume I am sending you back the tilt sensor like last time so I will need the return address. Please help, I was very satisfied with my first purchase. Thanks, Carlos

Answer
Carlos,
Please call me during weekday business hours.
I will put you in contact with the engineer at Scytek
so you can discuss the 2 car operation. It's totally
possible you have one of last years models, and a
new one from this year and the 2 remote systems
will not talk to each other. I will let you confirm
this directly with Angel at Scytek to see what
can be done to correct the situation if at all
possible.

Take the diodes off the tilt sensor. Then if no joy
when repowered, then when you speak to Angel,
you can get him to verify that it should be exchanged,
and I will of course be happy to comply.

Call me on Monday or, Tuesday and we'll try to sort
out the troubles.

Robert Martin
