Car Alarms: 2004 Impala Remote Start Door Open Light, remote starters, 1n4004

Question
I just installed a Hornet remote start in my Impala, and The door ajar light stays on constantly.  I followed the directions of isolating the door triggers with diodes, but still have the light on.  I had the same problem with the parking lights causing the service wngine soon light to come on.  I eliminated this connection to solve the problem.  I am not sure if the diode could be incorrect type or something, because I believe all the connections are correct according to the DEI instruction sheet.  Any secrets I should know, test I could try, methods to try?  This is pissing me off, and I got wires hanging all over the drivers floor and I need to get this thing up and running.  I installed four remote starters in 4 older cars and it was so much easier back them.  Anyway, hope someone can help me!!! Please!!!!

Answer
You need to double diode isolate on most of the newer vehicles, to not only prevent feedback to the alarm, but also feedback to the vehicle.

Follow this diagram for your door triggers:

Notice there are 2 diodes per connection.

Here is the diagram for your parking light issue (if you want to try and tackle it again):

1N4004 is the type of diode you want.

Hope this helps.
