Car Alarms: stock alarm, side kick panel, guage wire

How do i disable the stock alarm in my 1997 ford ranger. The truck has a standard transmision and i need to click the alarm for it to start.  

Answer
Easy to do in the 97 Ranger.
Open the drivers side kick panel, and
in the wire pack running in from the door
locate the FACTORY ALARM DISARM wire
which is the green/purple|-| down low
in the running board area, splice into it with the same
guage wire, and ground it to the body with a
self taping screw.

That will permanantly disarm the factory alarm.
