Car Alarms: Which Alarm System Is Best 4 My Car, oldsmobile delta 88, clifford g5

Question
I have a 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham.

I finaly after 5 months of owning my car am going to put a security system in it.

I have been looking and found these Security Systems to be the best from what i've read.

Clifford G4 something it had some good stuff.
Clifford Arrow 5
Clifford G5 Concept 450
Clifford Intelliguard 750

Viper 650XV
Viper 1000
Viper 671XV 2 way
Viper 5000 2 way

742T Hornet Alarm
Sidewinder (i heard they're good just didn't find any alarms on the internet from them or prices)

Omega K9 Classic
(this i can get installed for cheap and get a pager i dont' know what type of pager exactly but i think it might be the Omega Echo pager)

I really need to know wat system i should go with my car is a very clean old school car that people look to steal so i'm planning on putting some good security i just can't pay over 350 for it.  But i want to stay in the 200-300 range.

I have researched and these are the Systems i have found to maybe be the one for me don't know which and if K9 is really worth it? I really want to know the answer to that question.

Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks, Mach1Blu

Answer
Not a fan of OMEGA or of DEI ( viper/Clifford/Hornet)
so my opinion is not what you want to hear.
The systems are over worked, over priced for
the offerings, features wise, and in the case of Viper, dealer controled warranties, and service that are
required, makes it a bad choice for the end user.
You have to have them install or service the system
to keep warranties intact. And non exsistant end user
(you) support.

Please see the reviews on both Omega (k9) and the DEI
products at www.ALARMDOMAIN.com .

I am a fan of Scytek and Micro alarms. Now these systems
are worth your time in my opinion.

In either case, protecting that car is the point.
I can suugest some products from both of these
companies that would run rings around the choices you've
narrowed dowm, but again, if you are looking fo marketing hype, DEI is the biggest. Not nearly the best though.
And if you want hassles from the beginning to the end
of this project, get an Omega.

That's just my opinion mind you. Yours may differ.

Good luck with it.
