The manual in my 2005 explorer says my securilock passive antitheft system is not compatible with non-ford aftermarket remote start systems. Is this true or just ploy to buy only ford products. I'm looking to buy a combo alarm system w/o losing my shirt.

Well that's just Ford propaganda. Of course they
would say that. We did a new Explorer in here
3 days ago using the GALAXY 5000 RSW 2-2way
system and the PATS bypass module to bypass
the transmod security it the ignition column, allowing
for seemless remote starter operations.

It went in and operated beautifully.
