Car Stereos: 2001 Chevy Siverado Car Radio, alpine radios, chevy siverado

I want to get my boyfriend a cd radio for christmas for his truck. Wene to Bestbuy, and none of those radios will fit. Which brand will fit in the sliverado? Please help.

All of the normal "DIN" sized radios (2") will fit.  They use a mounting kit to adapt the smaller radio to the larger hole, but it looks like it belongs.  They do make radios that are "1.5 DIN", that fit perfectly.  Usually those radios aren't as nice as the regular ones.  I would recommend Alpine radios.  They are the best.  Hope this helps, Scott
