i was putting a new head unit in my eclipse i connected all the wire on the wire adapter exactly like it said to then plug it in turn it on and power works but no sound what did i do wrong?

Aaron,  As I have mentioned in many previous answers, it is very common for a new installer to accidentally leave a wire uncovered or loose or not securely connected.  This causes a short inside the radio, and it must be taken to an electronics repair shop to get fixed.  To determine if this is the case for you, please read some of my answers and you will see how to check your system.  Hope this helps, Scott
