Car Stereos: hey my head lights dims, high output alternator, watt system

when i put the volume up i have a solobaric 15 l7 and highphonics amp 2000 watts with a 12 inch pioneer  and a 2.0 capacitor??????what do i need to solve my problem??????

Marcos,  When headlights start dimming, there are usually only a couple of things that will help.  You started correctly with a capacitor.  Next, you need to get a larger alternator.  A standard alternator will not keep up with a 2000 watt system.  Once you have a high output alternator (over 180 amps), that should solve the headlight problem.  If the headlights are still dimming, then the next step would be to add another battery to the system.  Usually another battery is required on systems over 3000 watts.  Yours is slightly shy of that, so you shouldn't need another one.  Hope this helps, Scott
