Car Stereos: interaction with bose system, 2005 nissan altima, nissan altima

Question
OK i have 2005 nissan altima with bose system. I replaced the head unit with a pioneer screen, the door speakers and tweeters with focal component system with crossovers, and have a seperate amp going to the compoent system. i hard wired the amp to the crossover, not using any factory wiring, just ran the speaker wire all the way back. Now when i play the music to all 8 speakers ( i have two in the rear doors, and two 6x9's) i can only play it to level 6 or else the front speakers will go out. it is not fading much at all, but when i fade it all the way to the front, the front component system plays perfectly, but i have no back speakers....... any suggestions?

Answer
Brian,  This sounds complicated.  You wired the new front speakers and amp from the headunit all the way to the speakers, not using any factory wiring?  So, there are four wires on the adaptor harness that are not being used?  Does the unit fade to the back properly?  It sounds to me like there is a serious wiring problem.  It has to do with the factory amplifier.  Somehow, your speakers have gotten wired to the same channel or duplicated wiring and is causing improper resistance.  Don't use the system, before you get it figured out, or you run the risk of blowing the headunit.  Sorry, I cannot identify the exact problem.  I would consider running your wiring to the whole system.  Hope this helps, Scott
