Car Stereos: VW Stock CD Changer, ebay, stock cd

Hello! The flat part of the Changer Door that sits behind the Sliding Front Door does not seem to track correctly or seat properly when the Sliding Front Door is closed. You can feel it binding half way through closing the Sliding Front Door and then you hear it pop, apparently out of the track, when the Sliding Front Door is closed. Any idea why that might be or how to fix it?

I'm not personally familiar with this particular CD changer, but usually the sliding door just has a molded plastic "leg" that follows a track molded into the changer case.  My guess is that the leg has broken off on your changer's door.  Chances are the piece needs to be replaced, but I doubt that it's available separately from a dealer parts department.  You might be able to find an inexpensive changer from a junkyard or eBay, and get the part there (or replace your changer altogether).
