i have a 1996 grand cherokee laredo and was just installed an amp to all my speakers and it works fine except the amp is making the cd player have static and everytime you turn on something else example the lights or turn single it gets worse do you have an idea what it could be

Hi Adam,

It sounds like either you have a bad ground.  Make sure your amp's ground wire is < 18", connected to unpainted metal that is not welded to the car, and the connections are all tight.

Also ensure that the wiring running to the amp is not running with the amp's power wiring.  They should be run on opposite sides of the car.
