Car Stereos: know nothing of sound sytems!!, sound sytems, best buy

i'm 16 years old and just got a 04 chevy impala i want a good sound system with some good bass to it...i know nothing about this kind of stuff so where do i start?? i would go to a shop but then once they see i don't know much i feel like they'll probably try and get more money since i don't know much so i would like to do more research before anything so i hope you can help.. Depends a lot on your budget, music preferences, and type of vehicle you drive. I cant recommend any brands since i dont have this info, but my advice to you would be, go to several car audio shops, compare prices, check for prices online, also go to best buy and all of those superstores where they have car audio displays, have them show you different setups for your vehicle, and ask for estimates, at first go for what your ears liked, but ultimately your wallet its gonna be the final judge.
