Car Stereos: 2004 Nissan Xterra Stereo, 2004 nissan xterra, nissan xterra

Question
My stereo just went out this morning.  Out completely.  No power. The warranty just went out so I would like to try a few things first before taking it somewhere.  I looked at the fuse box but there are no specific fuses shown for the stereo.  Should I look for the power cord?  Maybe it came loose.  Not sure where to start.  I don't want to start pulling apart anything yet.  Thanks

Answer
Hi Mark,

Your issue is more than likely in fact a fuse.  When you pull the panel off of the fuse panel, flip it over and look at it, it should tell you which fuse does what.  Find the radio fuse, pull it out, and check it.  If it keeps popping after you replace it, then you can worry about replacement (in which case, go aftermarket; you'll get better sound for less money since OEM is usually grossly overpriced.)

Good luck,
Justin
