Car Stereos: no sound from my speakers!!, stock speakers, car speakers

Question
I am having a problem getting sound to come from my cars stock speakers (front and back)  My subs and my amp work, and I am getting bass and a little music from them, but no sound to my speakers in my doors.  I have checked my wiring.  The only thing I can see that MIGHT be wrong is that I have two black wires coming from my cars wiring.  On my diagrams it says one is a ground and one is a speaker.  Do you think I might have them switched? Would I have anything coming from my subs if that were the case?  Anyhow, I have also checked the fuse on both the head unit, and my audio fuse in my car and they are both ok.  My rca's are hooked up right. my balance and fader are on center and my volume is up. when I bought the hu at the store I had it tested there, and it worked.  I didnt test it with my car speakers before putting in the subs and amp tho. And I have power to it, just not sound to the car speakers...  hope you can help me out.  My hu is a panasonic, my subs are mtx audio, and my amp is a walmart kind... I dont think my car has a factory amp either if that matters...  Thankx for your help. :)

Answer
Hi Ashley.

Ok let me see if i get this right.

You just installed a hu on your car (hoping you used the specific wiring harness for your car and you didnt cut any wires from the factory harness). and now the speakers are not working. But you know they were working before.
The subwoofer and the amplifier (aftermarket) are both working.
I've answered a couple of questions like this one before and they all forgot to connect the factory amplifier remote wire wich would be blue/white coming from the aftermarket wiring harness that i hope you bought, assuming that there is one.
The only other thing thats left to check would be the speakers, if one is blown real badly it might be shorting out an output on the radio causing it to stop sending current to any speaker.

Hope this helps.
