Question
Hi there I'm trying to install this alipne iva-w205, in my 2001 Tahoe LT.I bought the wire hardness and connect all the color wires. But on the factory stereo it has two connection hardness. If i connect one on the factory stereo but not the other(the stereo will either not turn on or turn on with no sound)....Once i connected the aftermarket stereo and connected the antenna i have power but no sound.

I do have a system connected to the stock stereo and they had to add rca jacks with a little amp connected to once of the speakers in the back.So the amp would work...Could that cause the problems.

Thanks
Answer
Hi Jesus.

You probably have a factory premium sound system or pre amp'ed door speakers, now what you need to do is. on the harness that you bought connect the blue/white wire to the blue/white wire on the radio harness that should power up the factory amps giving you sound.
No that converter has nothing to do with the problem you have right now, though i would recommend you take it off and isolate each wire they tapped into.

Hope this helps.

Answer
Hi Jesus.

I hope you didnt burn anything by doing that and i apologize if i wasnt clear on my past answer.

On the factory harness:
Solid Blue-->power antenna (Do Not Have to connect this if your vehicle does not have a power antenna)
Blue/White-->remote turn on (Connect this to Blue/White wire on Radio Harness)

on the radio harness:
Solid BLue-->power antenna (Do Not Have to connect this if your vehicle does not have a power antenna)
Blue/White-->Remote turn on (Connect this to Blue/White wire on Factory Harness). This wire send signal only when Radio AM/FM funcion its activated.

Both connections have to be connected to the aftermarket harness you bought there must be 4 slots at the back of that harness and all of them must be connected, cant rememer if your vehicle has 1 big harness and 2 small ones they will only fit in one place only cant miss it.
