Car Stereos: installation to2002 dodge ram, not workin, aftermarket stereo, vehicals

I tried to intall an aftermarket stereo in my 2002 dodge ram.  For some reason the speakers did not work. I want to know why.  I had some friends have the same problem in dodge vehicals.  Is it a dodge thing, or what do i have to do to make it work?

Hi Martin.

No martin its not a dodge thing there are several vehicles that have factory amplifiers built in you dont get any sound because the head unit has no control over those speakers. what you need to do its connect the blue/white wire from your deck to a blue/white, or solid blue wire on your aftermarket harness that you wisely purchased, and voila'....music :).
