Car Stereos: 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, infinity system, mitsubishi eclipse

Hi Shawn.  I bought the above car from a dealer.  Factory installed Infinity system.  CD player DOA.  Discovered a cd stuck inside - removed still doa.  Bought another, mostly because of in dash display  (clock, station, track etc) but also because I've been told that if I do an after market system, I'll have to replace the amp too.  I didn't know until now that there is a factory code.  I've never disconnected power but don't know if someone else did.  What do you advise?????

If the power was interrupted, chances are it will ask for the code. You will have to check with the person you purchased the deck from if they still have the codes. I recently swapped out one of the Infinity decks and it actually didn't ask me for the code when I reinstalled it. I would recommend trying it before spending any time looking for the codes.
Other than that, the Mits dealership will be able to tell you how to contact Infinity for a code reset if required. Be prepared though, there is usually a fee charged for the reset.
