Car Upholstery: auto upholstery, auto upholstery, staples

Question
I have a 1990 Chevy S-10 pick up, and the cloth on the ceiling of the cab is no longer adhering to the padding beneath it.  It hangs down about two and half or three inches across the cab.  As a cheap fix, I was thinking about making a relief cut across the back of the material, pulling it taught, and stapling or glueing it across where I made the cut, and then just cutting the excess material away, and tucking it into the cut I made, and then stapling it shut.  I am sure that this is not the appropriate repair for the problem.  Any advice you could give me on the proper way to fix it would be great.  Thanks.

Answer
Staples will tear through the board and the old foam will not hold glue. About $25-35 will buy the supplies to replace the headliner. Expect 1-2 hours labor also. This is a fairly easy repair. Please check previous answers on this webpage as I have explained several times. Feel free to inquire about any details if needed. Hope this helps. Mark.
