Auto Racing: 5.0L and C5 transmission., torque converter, luck john

QUESTION: I have a 1983 Mustang with a V6 and a C5 auto trans. I'm looking at buying a 1997 5.0L, carbing it, and installing.  What I'm wondering is if the V8 will mate to the C5 trans.?

ANSWER: hi yes  5.0's have the same bolt pattern as 3.8L.good luck !

QUESTION: OK the bellhousing is the same bolt pattern, but what about the flexplate, torque converter, and starter from the 3.8L working on/with the 5.0L?

HI .I JUST SAW YOUR SECOND QUESTION. I'VE NEVER DONE THIS SWAP  BUT I REBUILT TRANSMISSIONS THAT WERE BEHIND BOTH ENGINES. THE ITEMS YOU MENTION CAN BE HAD NEW DOWN HERE  FOR ABOUT $200-$225. I'D GET NEW PARTS I KNOW ARE MADE FOR THE ENGINE GOING IN .THANKS AND GOOD LUCK .JOHN
