BMW Repair: Fuel Consumption, fuel consumption, fuel injector

Hi Evan, I recently bought 323i 2000. Th car runs gr8 no smoke but the fuel is consumption is no good. It is giving me 18 MPG. It has 82K Miles excellent condition. Automatic.
It still has almost 7500 miles to go before service. No engine light or any signs of malfunctioning.

Can you suggest me some thing?

Saleem, you can try some fuel injector cleaner like Techron.
Make sure your air filter is clean and not dirty. If you drive mainly in the city and you have a heavy right foot them 18mpg is not unheard of. Just make sure you are driving normally. Brand new 325i only get 20/30MPG from the factory.
