BMW Repair: 98 740il, oil filler cap, pcv valve

my problem when the car is cold on idle comes up with random misfires or cyl 6&5 misfire last year i replaced lifters. after warm up runs ok help please?

Kirk, check for intake manifold or boot leaks. Check the PCV valve in the back of the intake manifold by cracking the oil filler cap open with the engine idleing. If you have a huge amount of vacuum or you get a funny whistling/honking noise the rear manifold backing plate needs replacement. If the intake manifold comes off replace every gasket you can find.
