BMW Repair: 325e bmw 1986, compression test, throttle body

Question
i got fire to the number one cyclinder, spark is blue but the car will not fire and i have fuel to the throttle body.
i was going down the road and the car just quit. it turns over and gets fire but wont start is it the timing belt ?

Answer
Robert, hard to say I am not very experienced with these cars. Run a compression test on all cylinders and if the compression is off on multiple cylinders (more than 15% variation) then remove the covers for the cam sprocket and inspect the belt while you crank the engine. If the belt broke you will have bent valves because the M20 is an interfereance motor.
