BMW Repair: e46 P1250 fault code, o2 sensors, 2000 bmw 328i

Question
Hello, I have a 2000 BMW 328i with 143,000 miles. The MIL has come on, gone out, and now is staying on. It also now occasionally runs rough (at reduced power). I had the fault codes read: P1250 and also P0300 and cyl 2, 4, 5, and 6 misfires. I can't seem to find a good answer for the P1250 code. Any experience with this? I usually do my own brakes, etc, so I can handle most repairs if I know what's wrong.

Answer
Ryan, P1250 doesn't show up on my information base. What is the discription of this code? The P0300 is multiple cylinder misfire. If you had a BMW diagnostic report then I could help you better. Kind of sounds like a bad cam sensor from what you describe. Misfires can be anything. Make sure your spark plugs and front O2 sensors have been changed (100,000 mile replacement intervals). If you pay an hour at the dealer for a BMW fault read out that I am familiar with then I can give you a better idea of what you are up against. Like you I can't come up with a P1250 code.
