BMW Repair: AC blower just stopped!, bmw 525i e34, 1995 bmw 525i

Question
I'm emailing you because of the help you offered others.  For
starters thank you!!!

I was driving my 1995/BMW/525i/E34 on the highway when my
AC blower just stopped working. It was on high (full blast) for
about 5 minutes when it went out.  It showed no signs of
problems before this. I hear the compressor kick on, the pannel
lights work, but the blower does not.

So... motor, resister or sword? I'm not sure really where to start
or where to find these items.  Thanks again for any help you
might be able to offer.

Answer
David, I believe that if you have automatic a/c (no oreo cookie dials) then you may need the sword. If you have regular a/c (oreo cookie dials) then you have a regular looking final stage resistor. I have never replaced either one (I don't get to work on older cars). Either way the repair instruction read the same. Remove glove box and  left side trims. Remove air duct. Resistor will be on the side of the heater box. Sword will have many connectors and Regular resistor will have one four wire connector. Sorry but you are on your own from there. Good luck and tell me what you find.
