BMW Repair: 01 e46 330Ci Air Conditioning, air vent, stage unit

The Air Conditioning does not blow air when turned on.

When the AC is just left at the default setting, where the air/vent is on the lowest setting, air comes in (i think from vent) when the car is moving. Nothing happens if i turn up the power to blow more air.

When I push the button to turn the AC on, all air stops completely. Nothing happens when i turn up the power for the AC.

If i leave the AC on for a little bit (even though no air is blowing in). And then I turn off the AC, and the "vent" starts blowing air in, the air is really cold, like it has been holding the AC cold air.

Maybe fan problems? Don't know how to fix or find the AC fan.

Clinton, Please replace the faulty Final Stage Unit for the A/C fan. Read the post I Gave to Doug on 8/24/06 on how to replace yourself or go to the dealer. If you replace it, it will cost you $80-$120 for the part and maybe several bucks for tools. If the dealer does it expect around $300.
