BMW Repair: Bleeding the clutch fluid line, clutch master cylinder, clutch fluid

Question
I have replaced my clutch master cylinder due to a small plastic ring that broke off underneath the pedal. I am also reading alone in a chilton s magazine on how to blead the system after the installation. I have bleed my brake lines before and thought that this was to be an similar process. However, I have run into a small problem. I have not seen any fluid come out of the bleeder valve located on slave cylinder.    I will include my step by step process in hopes that you could point out where my problem lyes.     1.  I filled the fluid resovior with Dot 4 fluid (brand new from the bottle)    2. I then stood in a pit underneath the car while my girlfriend helped by pressing the pedal.     3. I attached a clear tube to the bleeder valve and placed the other end into a small container with a small amount of fluid in the bottom.    4. I opened the valve while my girlfriend pressed down on the pedal all the way to the floor and held it there.     5. I then closed the valve and asked her to let out on the pedal.    6. We continued to check the resovior and fill it as nessecary.     7. She did notice the the pedal was more difficult to press then before (I think the Master cylinder has filled with fluid) and I also noticed that I could hear the clutch disengage and engage and she pressed in and out. We thought we were on the right path but I have not seen any fluid come out of the bleeder valve and I am worried that there is still plenty of air in the system. We Kept the above process up for some time before I felt that maybe I was missing something. Please help!    To clarify some of the things I have already tried to remedy the problem.    - Bleeding the valve with the cap on the resovior and off of the resovior.  - pressing the pedal more slowly to allow the fluid to work into the system  - opening the bleeder valve a little more (even take in off and blow through it to make sure the bleeder valve was not clogged)

Answer
Pressure bleeding will probably be alot easier but not having one does make it difficult. When I bleed the brakes/clutch I start r/r,l/r,slave cyl,r/f,l/f.You have said you removed the bleeder screw from the slave and cleaned it,did you try sticking a small wire into the slave to see if it may be plugged there? sometimes it does plug there
