Tips on Buying Cars: comparing cadillacs, maintenance history, maintenance records

Question
I'm comparing two cadillacs with higher mileage.  The first a 98 eldorado with 119125, the second being a 97 seville with 104913 on it.  How much longer do you think these will go if maintenance was done and is any one a better buy than the other?

Answer
Both are built off the same platform, and share a lot of the same parts.  With proper maintenance, there's no reason why either one of these cars shouldn't last at least 200,000 miles.  The key is the care that each vehicle has had up till now.  All other things being equal, I would go with the car who's maintenance history you can document.  If there are no maintenance records, then you're really taking a chance.
