BMW Repair: 1987 BMW heater blower motor, plastic nuts, bmw 325i

Question
Hi, I have a 1987 BMW 325i convertible and the car has been great. Recently, the heater/Ac blower stopped working. Now there is no AC or Heat, or no air coming from the vents. My father has found a new blower, but we can not figure out how to install it. My father is a mechanic, and a friend said there is an easy way to get to it, but we have not found it. Do we have to take the whole dash out to get to it? Or is there a specific way to get to it? Any help would be appreciated!
Thank You!

Answer
Lucas,
No, you should not have to pull the dash to change the motor.
Pop the hood, and look at the firewall just behind the engine.  There will be some wire looms attached with black plastic nuts.  Remove those wire looms and then you will be able to pull the inspection panel off.  The inspection panel is located right behind the engine on the firewall. Pull this panel off, and you will see the the housing for the blower motor.  You can pull that cover off by removing two plastic straps that hold it on.  Once this cover is off, you will see the blower motor.

 Good luck,
 Josh
