BMW Repair: brakes, bmw dealership, brake job

I have a 1997 BMW328Ic, my brake pad indicator light came on today. How much is a typical brake job, and do I need to go to a BMW dealership or can other shops repair with BMW parts?

Hi James, If you go to the dealership, a complete brake job is somewhere around $1,500.00  Just the fronts are around $750.00 and etc...You can take it to a shop and have it done for half of that if not less.  Or if you know what you are doing , then of course you can do it yourself.  Hope this helps.  Let me know.
