BMW Repair: 93 BMW motor oil, bmw motor, oil tank

I accidently put transmission oil in the motor oil tank. I did not drive the car since. I would like to know what problem it may cause to the car, and how to fix the mistake.

Hi Jennifer, the easiest way to take care of that is to have someone change the oil and flush the engine right away.  Drain the oil change the filter, Put new oil in the engine run it for about 10 minutes, add engine oil flush which you can buy at any auto parts store. Run for another 10-15 minutes depending on what the bottle says and drain the oil again.  Change the filter again and add new oil. Remember, dont drive it during the process. You should be good to go then.  Let me know how it turns out.
