BMW Repair: Service engine soon light, filter belts, minekee

Everytime I fill my gas tank it seems that the service engine light comes on. I make sure that the cap is tight. I push it in and the turn it until I hear it click, but it still happens. I sent it to the dealer and had it checked. Is this dangerous, is my engine in trouble? Please help if you can. I have a 2003 330i, with 60300 miles.

Always remember this.  As long as your engine isn't low on oil and antifreeze then it is not in danger...Your service engine soon light is just a light that comes on when he car reaches a certin amount of miles o let you know that it is getting close to the time when you ned o have your engine serviced. (spark plugs, fuel filter, belts etc..) Oil changes as you know is every 3000 miles 4500 if mostly highway driving.  The only time you need to be worried is if the servicve engine light comes on while the car is acting funny, example..stalls, idles rough, no start etc.. But if it drives fine then that is what it means.  you just need to have basic service done on it.  By the way, you can get the same service for cheaper by not going to the dealer and going to say good year or midas or minekee.  Unless you can afford it.  Then your str8...Hope this helps you out..By the way, make sure you get the light reset after you have the work done or it will stay on.
