BMW Repair: 1993 740i door unlocking when battery dead, slim jim, car door

my 1993 740i battery is dead. it is under the back passenger seat.the key will not power activate the locks,by this  i mean i cannot open the doors.the key will not turn the locks manually except for the trunk.this is not a factory remote opener fob,just a key.i need to get into the car door to also get at the engine hood realease were there is acess to the battery lug to boost the car.again there is no battery in the trunk of this car.any ideas?

Hi Ed, Ok well if that's the case  then the best thing you can do is call a two truck and tell them to bring a slim jim with them and pop the locks for you.  I've never heard of the battery being under the back seats, but then again I've never worked on a 740i eiteher.  Good luck.
