I have a 94 325i. I backed it out of the garage to do some work on the garage. When I tried to start the car to put it back into the garage it would not start.
The motor turns but will not hit.
I tried putting starter fluid in the throttle body for 3 to 5 seconds and start-- still not hit.
I took No.1 plug out and checked for spark.
the spark was yellow. I'm thought it should be blue are BMW different?
From my internet reading it could be
1 fuel relay fuel pump
2 camshaft position sensor
3 Crankshaft position sensor
4 throttle position sensor
5 temperature sensor
6 hope not ECU

Where should I start how can I test these sensors
Thanks

Answer -
Hard to tell. The spark should be blue and have a good lenth to it, at least a quarter inch.  If the starting fluid didnt help then its not a fuel problem, at least not a lack of fuel, so the fuel pump and relay can be ruled out.

Are the plugs wet?Do you smell gas?

Yes- The code use to be 1444- now when I do the test all I get is one blink and then the pause and one again. I would take it to a mechanic, but the last time I did that it cost me $156.00 for one pound of freon.

Answer
Code 1444 means all is o/k.. If all you get is a blink then you might have a computer inop.  Take the cover off the computer box and look for water inside.  Common for them to get water inside the engine computer which fries them.
Have a shop scan the computer to see if its working.
