I have a problem with the left tail light not working even though the bulb has been changed. The hazards will also come when the car is first shut off or the wipers are used. The person I bought the car from said it was a bad fault control module. I can only find the light control module on any Bmw sites. Are these the same part? How difficult is this to install?

The other question is if this vehicle has not used synthetic oil is it ok to use it now? I have heard that it will dry out the seals but I use Zmax which I believe would lubricate the seals.

the lamp control module is what you are looking for. it may just be bad and causing funny things to happen. synthetic oil is fine to use, however, it is recommended that you not switch back to conventional oil. it will not dry out the seals. if that were true, no engine could use synthetic oil.
