Land Rover Repair: Changing Spark Plug Wires, spark plug wires, electrical shorts

Hi John, I saw in a previous post that you have offered advise to those needing to change plug wires on a Discovery II. I have an '01 w/75,000 miles and appreciate any help you can offer. Changed the plugs and no change in problem (svc eng)rough, low rpm idle, stalls. I did see a bit of spark jumping from the plug wires last night after misting with a spray bottle so I hope the wires are the culprit. How do you get access to change these?

Hi Allan,

if you witnessed electrical shorts then you really are in need of new wires.  These shorts have a major impact on engine performance.
