BMW Repair: Bmw tranny swap, auto tranny, tranny swap

Yeah I am asking you again, I swapped a 86 325 auto tranny(4 bolts on each flange) for an 89 325i auto tranny(3&4 bolts on each flange) into my 86 325 and it will not turn over it cranks A bit and the flywheel makes a KA-Chink noise but it doesn't stay on.

sounds like the starter is fully engaging the flywheel, which could be due to several reasons. the starter could just be bad, the mounting position of the starter between the 2 different transmissions could be slightly different, or the teeth on the flywheel could be worn
