BMW Repair: BMW 325i 1990 - Sound from rear wheel, bmw 325i, rear wheels

Question
I hear a clear sound when I use brakes - even on low speeds now.  I think it is coming from one of the rear wheels.  I changed all the brake pads on all the four wheels a month ago - the sound started three weeks after that.  The drum / brake plate were okay when I replaced the pads.  Why the sound started? What to do now?  I have been told that this may be due to water went inside or drum is not smooth and have been advised to replace both durm and pads.  Will be grateful for your help.  Thanks

Answer
the sound could be caused by a number of things.  did you replace the drums? if not it may be as simple as the new pads are sticking  when applied.  It's also possible that they were installed wrong or a part that needed to be replaced, didn't get replaced and is causeing it to stick.
drive the car in reverse and pull the e-brake, do you still hear the clicking?
did you adjust the automatic adjustment lever to fit the unworn pads?  you may have installed them so they are constantly rubbing causeing the surfaces to glaze over and stick, end result: new drums and pads would be needed.  it may be as simple as the drum needed to be replaced or turned from the start, most bmw's don't even recomend you turn them, just replace them due to the heat temperment of the metal used.
