BMW Repair: Haunted BMW, clock button, light bulbs

I have a 1998 528i that is doing some weird things.  

Sometimes the radio does not turn on when the car is started.  Some days it eventually comes on, other days it doesn't.  If I press the clock button the clock time will display when the rest of the radio lights are dark.

Some days the steering wheel moves up and down while I am driving, this is usually accompanied with the main dome light coming on and fading out.  Some days everything is fine.  

The car also seems to be burning out several light bulbs.  This could be due to the age of the car, but I seem to replace a light bulb every couple weeks for the last 2 months.

You have major computer problems, the trick is finding the one that has the most symptoms that match the cause.  you can have the codes pulled off the engine and most times the computer will be able to tell you it's fault.  Check the ground cable on the battery and every other one you can find.  did your car have any custom or repair work done on it recently?
Computer problems are very involved to deal with because of the complexity of the electrical system on the car.  Your best bet is to start with what the codes read and go from there.
