GMC Repair: Day Time Running Lights, ambient light sensor, daytime running lights

Question
My 1999 GMC Sonoma has daytime running lights and they are not on when the truck is in drive like they should be.  How do I reset them so they will come back on?  I think the push button below the headlight switch has something to do with it.  We pushed it once and they have not come on since.  Thank you.

The DRL's do not have an on/off switch.
If the headlamp switch is in the OFF or AUTO position they SHOULD come on, depending on light reaching the Ambient light sensor.
I would recommend taking it to a shop and having the BCM scanned for Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
