American Motors: classic 550, winston cup drivers, paint job

Question
since my Rambler has only 38k miles since 1964 should I repaint it? because it runs like new and looks like new on the inside, got it in North Carolina when the days were Winston Cup drivers not Nextel want-to-be's. Paint it? yes or no? jgerard63. You can call me at . thanks man. Ramble on

Answer
It depends on whether you want to keep it original or not. An original paint job will make the car more valuable. If you paint it, the value can drop; unless you do a professional $3000 paint job. If you want to keep it for fun and to drive it around, don't paint it. Maybe you can have it detailed and have someone experienced buff the paint. Bring it to a body shop and ask them if the paint can be buffed.
