American Motors: 1965 A.M.C Rambler 440 Could you please help me, blown head gasket, brake calipers

Question
I have recently purchased a Rambler American 440. It has a 232 six with a blown head gasket. I would like to put a 258 six in it. 1st is this possible? 2nd what year motor should i look for? 3rd can I sill use the same transmission? if not what should I use? And finally I would like to put front disc brakes I know that the car has no ball joints so what should I do? I am committed to bringing this car back to life and any help you could offer would help me in my endeavor.

Answer
Find a Gremlin, Hornet, or Concord and use the engine from it. Also, snag the front brake calipers, hubs, master cylinder, booster, & rotors. I am told they will bolt right up to your 440.
You should be able to use the orignal transmission, providing it is in good shape.
