First of all I was very impressed with your credentials!  I have asked this questions in various forums but have yet to get a response.  I hope you are still around...thanks Lloyd...

Question...

My unit has a 6 CD changer with Navigation with the standard CD player and other stereo components...I believe it is a Harmon Karmon unit?  Is there a way to connect my MP3 player?  Perhaps some aftermarket connection through BestBuy or Circuit City??  Thanks so much Ernesto....I really appreciate any help....

Yes this is possible
If you remove the external  6 disc cd changer you can plug this interface to feed aux audio in to the land rover radio
